Cut
The cut of a diamond mainly depends on the shape of a diamond. The most popular diamond shape is round. Shapes other than round are known as fancy shapes or fancy cuts. The most common fancy shapes include emerald, pear, oval, and marquis cuts. New shapes like hearts, triangles, cushions are also becoming very popular.
Color
Diamonds are priced by how close they are to being colorless. The less color there is in a diamond the more expensive they are.
Clarity

The clarity of a diamond is based on the diamond’s inclusions (internal flaws) and blemishes (external flaws). The GIA grades the clarity of a diamond by using the International Diamond Grading System. The grades range from flawless to diamonds with more prominent inclusions.
Carat Weight
The carat of a diamond has a direct relationship to its price. The bigger the diamond, the more expensive it will be. Even a fraction of a carat can make a considerable difference in the cost.
