Consumers here in the U.S seem to want something other than the old staple three stone white diamond ring, so they are also turning to fancy yellow colors. Not surprisingly, the supply of antique and art deco jewelry was lacking, especially pristine antique engagement rings.  The amount of people that came out for the show proved everyone wants antiques!  What that means for the dealers (and more specifically the antique shoppers) is the less antique jewelry, prices will still stay high.  How about diamonds?

Diamonds are still very strong, but we did notice that our friends from the far east, specifically China and India, were in short supply.  This means diamonds specifically purchased for the far east have softened a bit. How about diamonds for the united states? For example, the SI1 and SI2 type diamonds?  Well, unfortunately those diamonds are in low supply so they have stayed strong.
